Detoxify your Body with Fasting

The most common method of cleansing your body is to fast, either using a variety of juices or with water.  Food is an important part of proper nutrition and our bodies do need the energy and nutrients supplied through eating. However, fasting every now and then is also beneficial in order to detoxify our system. Our bodies can normally digest a lot of energy leaving little time to eliminate any toxins, so it is important for people to know how they can take their own steps in order to detoxify their bodies and regain energy and optimal results.

 

The accumulation of toxins within the body can lead to such problems as an increase in breakouts, excessive sweating, headaches, sluggishness and lack of energy amongst many other problems. Fasting can be a good way to cleanse and detoxify your body in order to eliminate any further problems from occurring and also in order to establish a proper balance within your body's normal and natural functions.

 

Good nutrition is important, so even with fasting, your body will detoxify faster if you fast than if you don't. Fasting has been proven to be quite worthwhile in the cleansing process since it enables your body to use all its energy in order to aid the removal of toxic substances from areas such as the liver, skin, intestines and kidneys. During fasting, you will normally be drinking just water and various juices in order to help your body to eliminate toxins.

 

There are many methods of fasting you can pursue in order to help your body's detoxification process run much smoother and faster. The types of fasting are as follows:

 

Water Fast : With this type of fast, you will normally just drink water alone by itself.

 

Juice Fast : Drinking juices can also be taken in the same way as a pure water fast. This incorporates both water and juice.  The most important thing is to only drink natural and fresh juice, nothing preserved such as punch or juice from concentrate.  Vegetable juice, lemonade, e.t.c are all good choices. The lemonade diet is probably the most drastic and effective detox fasting after the water fast.

 

Monofood Fast : This process just involves eating only one kind of food, such as a fruit or vegetable. Combining foods such as eating both the fruit and vegetable aren't allowed.

 

Detoxifying your body can bring you great benefits, however you should avoid detoxifying more than twice in a year.   All you really need is a maximum detoxification of at least twice a year in order to avoid overdoing the process and flushing out too many of your body's nutrients.  Like everything else, detoxification is best done in balance.
